Happy New Year 2008

So, 2007 is over, an interesting year. There were definite ups and downs (some of the ups being our trip to Sedona, Hannah starting 2nd grade in a new school and doing very well, and everyone staying pretty happy and healthy this year. Some of the downs being things like being told I'm going to lose my job and Todd's estranged stepdad committing suicide and Raider having to be put to sleep) but I guess I would have to say it was a pretty decent year overall.

2008 is here and I'm a bit on the scared side. For the first time in 12 years, I will have to look for a job. Not going to be pretty. I don't even want to think about it right now. Check back in with me in March.

Today is the day to make some resolutions and I will try to keep them this year, since I didn't do a very good job of it last year.

Life resolutions:
  • be the best wife and mother I can be
  • Get our finances on track
  • Lose 45 pounds
  • simplify
  • try and maintain a positive outlook

And I have some scrapbooking resolutions, well, more like goals:

  • Participate in the fun challenges on 123-Scrap
  • Host the Photo A Week (PAW) challenge and the Designing With Calendar (DW2008) challenges on 123-Scrap
  • Try to keep up with the January Layout a Day (LOAD) on Big Picture Scrapbooking
  • join in on blog challenges like the one Suzanne is hosting
  • Page plan for a weekend scrap retreat in April
  • Complete Alaska and Sedona vacation albums

Looks like I'll be busy...

Admirable goals, and I know you can fulfill each of them (although I think if you lose that much weight you're gonna disappear).
