So, I didn't wake up at 3am to watch my A's, and I don't think my system could have handled the stress anyway. I'm going to need stock in Tums if this Opening Day is an indication of the season ahead. We almost beat the Red Sox, and I know that Pam was biting her nails a few times, but Big Papi and Manny of the Nastyass Hairdo and crew were victorious today. A bright spot was that Bobby Crosby didn't get broken all game! Shocking I know. Here's hoping that Brittle Bobby stays healthy and the rest of the team rallies to beat the Red Sox tomorrow.
Today is my 12th anniversary here at Discovery Channel. And I have not one bit of work to do, hardly any people in the building, and no reason to celebrate. I'm going to miss this place for whatever reason...it's been part of who I am even longer than Todd has been. I wonder how many times my car will be on autopilot in the morning and I try to get on the freeway. Actually, I'm going to miss the people there. Already missing those who have gone before, but now I'm losing daily contact with two of my scrappy friends. I guess it means that Marlo, Ann and I are going to have to get together and scrap more often.
3 more days and the doors will close on this place...I think I'm going to need a moment of silence.

Ummm, Happy Anniversary? 12 years at a job is quite an accomplishment! And just think you would have stuck it out longer if they didn't close the doors! ;)
Ummm, you may be in for quite a surprise today when you see the A's kick some Red Sox ass! :) I hope you didn't look too hard for that little scrappy prize! :)
You know I'm always up for scrapping! :) I'm trying really hard not to break down at work. It's so depressing here!
Lisa, Happy Anniversary I think! Too bad they're letting you go after so many years. You'd think there'd be somewhere they could put you in another part of DC. Keep your chin up and concentrate on the time you'll get to spend with Hannah!
