The Cold Hard Truth, yo...

Hannah informed Todd and me at lunch today that we are so not "hip". Obviously, we were both crushed, lol, so we asked Hannah what Mom and Dad would need to do to be cooler and more hip. We were given some tips that Hannah and her "club" at school use to keep the hip factor high.
1. Anything cool worth saying is worth being said twice. She even gave us an example: That movie was so exciting - I mean that movie was SO.EXCITING!
2. All hip words are said with a different inflection - again she gave us an example: Cool should be pronounce Cuoowl.
and 3. (which was my favorite) Adding "yo" to the end of a word, phrase or sentence, instantly ups the hip potential of any conversation. She gave us quite a few examples of this tip throughout the rest of our mealtime conversation, during which time I was unable to take a drink of my soda for fear of snorting it through my nose.

So now, you too know the secret to being a hip 8 year old. Don't abuse your new found hip factor, yo. Do NOT abuse the hip...

Even north of the border, yo is a huge 'cool' word! Hailey's been on this cool kick for abit too, and doing the whole peace sign, thumping her chest, all while saying yo, yo, yo! lol

I have to say tho .. those are some pretty cool secrets you just shared with us. I'll try and be cool from now on! ;)

That is so stinking cute...and now I'll have to explain to the husband why I'm repeating things and adding yo to the end of everything!
