Hello July

how the heck did it get to be the 2nd week of July already? Apparently, I'm on the down part of life's rollercoaster or something.
Got a couple pictures to share with you today. First up is my oldest niece Regan at a baton competition. Can I request that someday gymnasiums get some better lighting for us poor auto setting camera girls? sheesh.
She is quite a talented twirler, and she takes dance as well. I remember playing with a baton when I was a kid - I was decent, and dreamed of being a Blue Angel, but I certainly wasn't good like these girls (and a couple boys) are!

and here are some of the very few pictures I took at Great America during Todd's company picnic. Hannah is very tentative about getting on most rides, but we talked her on to this large swing ride since Haley and Michael really wanted to go.

It started to lift and spin around and Hannah got the biggest smile on her face and just let out a shout of glee that made me laugh. I don't know if you can see her face that well in this pic, but trust me, it is very happy.

We are supposed to have a play date with Devin today, and see if the new Webkinz made it to the local Justice store - fingers crossed for a fun summer day and some more pictures!

I remember playing with a baton as a kid...and hurting myself when the dang thing clipped me in the head a number of times. I was NOT a good baton twirler!

Oh I used to love playing with a baton when I was a kid. I thought I was hot stuff back then! Hannah looks like she is having a blast.

Look at that gleeful face! Great shot! Isn't it fun when they find the courage to try something and then find out it's wonderful? It's one of the best things about being a mom.
