today was Idaho, mostly

well, actually it was yesterday, since we got back too late for me to post. But here are a couple pictures from our excursions. We went to a place called Yellowstone Bear World, where you drive your car through and there are deer, elk, a moose, wolves and bears. Hannah was beside herself with joy at being so close to the animals.

if you wanted to, you could buy a ticket for the "bus" that would take you through and you could throw fruit to the bears. We didn't do that but it was funny to watch the bears begging for the food from the one that was in front of us one of the times we went through

We decided not to do the bus so that Hannah could be one of the lucky people who got to bottle feed the baby bears! I took way too many photos but here are a couple:

Before the cubs were fed, they were so fun to watch play

and after they were fed, it was naptime

We spent quite a bit of time there, then it was off on a drive to Island Park and the Lower and Upper Mesa Falls.
Here's Lower

and here was Upper - it was so incredible to be up at the top of the falls

Then, on our way back to the hotel, Todd decided to take the way back that took us through West Yellowstone and we got to see our first geyser. It was sunset, so we didn't get to stay too long, but the photos are kinda cool at that time. This is Great Fountain Geyser, we got there at the end of its performance. It erupts about every 11 hours.

Well, I have probably pictured you out...but you will have to gather your strength, as we have a few more days in this amazing area. Hope to bring some more cool pics tonight to share.

Cool photos, but holy CRAP that's way to close to a bear for me!
